Today’s blog post is about the beautiful,
very very beautiful and very very talented actress Ziyi Zhang.
Ziyi was born in Beijing, China on the 9th
of Feb in 1979. She attended the Central Academy of Dance which was a boarding
school. When she was younger it is said she used to run away due to how catty and
competitive the other girls were – I can relate to this, I went to boarding
school myself for a few months and hated it!
Ziyi Zhang has starred in many movies, the
most famous being Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (as Jen Yu), Rush Hour 2 (Hu
Li), Hero (Moon), House of Flying Daggers (Mei) and Memoirs of a Geisha (Sayuri
Nitta/Chiyo Sakamoto)
Ziyi is currently working on three movies (Lost for words – in production, Waiting – in production and Sophie’s Revenge – filming. Her new Movie Horsemen was released in early February.
Horsemen looks like a good horror/thriller staring Dennis Quaid and Ziyi as leads. The movie finds the lead distanced from his sons after the untimely death of his wife. He investigates a series of rare murders that seem to be unusually violent. During investigating these murders he finds out he is linked to all the victims, and that it has something to do with biblical prophecies and the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Sounds pretty good! (7.8 IMDB rating!)
